Accessorising you Festival Look
Accessorising you Festival Look
Accessorising your festival look can really make an outfit, and distract from the ugly welly boot situation we are blessed with at English festivals. We have pulled together some of our favourite looks as a festival style guide perfect timing with Glastonbury this weekend…
Metallic Statement
A firm festival essential is a maxi boho outfit, this season we are loving V neck dresses. It leaves just the right amount of skin for a statement boho metal necklace like this one from Forever 21.
This look is perfect paired with ankle boots and a floppy hat or supercute space buns.
Sports Luxe Statement
Now we are all about mixing style and also comfort at festivals, that’s why we the relaxed simple sports lux look paired with statement earrings is high up on our list this year.
A statement earring can be pulled off with your hair down and the earrings poking through, or to make an extra bold statement sweeping your hair into a bun is a great look too. We are loving these statement pompom earrings from Zara.
Layering is Key
Layering; at British music festivals layering is key, ensuring you have enough layers to deal with the ever changing weather having a denim jacket (and maybe a poncho) to hand ready to chuck over your otherwise high summer outfit. Necklace layering is also the perfect look for your festival wardrobe, the return of the choker has seen the trend of layering your necklaces increase, teamed with short fine chained necklaces or lariat necklaces.
Complete the look with a drop design necklace to add the extra length. If you’re worried about getting it wrong then you can buy them pre layered for example this beaut ASOS Multirow Bolo Stone Charm Necklace
The Neckerchief
We are seeing the return of the neckerchief the multi use festival essential. We came across this blog post detailing 5 ways to style it round your neck here. But of course if can also act as barrier for you nose and moth against the dust, plus keep your hair back when your coming to the end of the festival.
Sunglasses Saviours
Finally, and possibly our number one of a big statement pair of sunglasses; sleeping in a tent and partying all day definitely doesn’t do a lot of those under eye bags so grabbing the biggest pair of sunglasses we can find seems like a sensible option. We are loving the retro style sunglasses seen on the likes of Jessica Woodley, our ultimate brand this season is CRAP eyewear, they are a based company so be aware of import when shipping them over.
So that’s our festival round up, let us know what festivals you’re off too and if you need somewhere to store your jewellery head over to our travel jewellery box section!
